On November 10, 2016, I was involved in a very serious motor vehicle accident in Tampa, FL that almost claimed my life. I’ve suffered the aftermath of that wreck for many years afterward. That very same night, as I was in the hospital, I lost a very good uncle of mine, John Hall, after a long battle with cancer- A man with a very positive outlook on life. Less than a year before this day, Uncle John told me to never wait to be who I wanted to be and achieve what I wanted to achieve. At the time I was talking to him about going to Hawaii, “Just go do it.” he retorted. For if I wait . . . it might be too late. Earlier in 2016, I lost my stepfather, James Bell, to heart failure, and struggled a lot with depression.

Inspired by Scotty McCreery’s song “The Dash” released in 2013, and by a poem of the same name by Linda Ellis, I decided to be positive, persistent, and define a legacy.

I would like to tagline my life and mantra as “The Dash Between.”

I put in over 190 hours of volunteer work last year, and purchased property to begin building my own mountain home. I plan to focus on photography, writing, traveling, and generating memories.

Conquering the 14ers

Nothing beats the challenge nor the views. I’m falling in love with the mountains. I find myself more and more addicted to every adventure, every accomplishment, and every new experience. I not only live it, I have to document it too.
